The 60GB version, I believe it's that one, doesn't have backwards compatibility on the PS3. The others do, however.

60gb model is fully backwards compatible, got FFVII in mine right now. I think it is the 40gb model (aka the cheap one) that doesn't have it. It also lacks the memory card readers and 2 of the USB ports.

It all depends on you, really.
I will not suggest a Wii to anyone because I think they are 98% horrible in every way, so it comes down to 360 and PS3. 360: Bigger game library More exclusives currently, although most of the good ones are going to PC at some point in time Better online, but you have to pay for it Backwards compatible with most good XboX games PS3: Stronger hardware with a much better rate of surviving being turned on Backwards compatible with almost all PSX/PS2 games Better line-up of exclusives from this point on in the near future (MGS4, GT5, FF, Motorstorm 2, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, God of War 3, etc) Some 360 exclusives eventually to be ported, most notably, Bioshock later this year (rumored to be released as early as September) Since the beginning of the year, cross-platfrom games have been better on PS3, for example, Burnout, GTA4, DMC4, Condemned 2. Pretty much all games save for mainstream EA titles (burnout being the exception to that) Hard drive Blu-ray Better controller (obviously this is an opinion, but DualShock 3 is best controller I have ever held) Free online Remote Play (allows you to play music/games/videos from your PS3 on your PSP over the internet from anywhere in the world that has internet access, basically) Yeah, I guess you can see where I am going. Honestly the only way I can suggest a 360 is if you are only interested in the short term and current games. If you are looking for the superior investment in the long term, PS3, hands down. |

Here is the worst fucking thing ever, you can create the virtual PS2 Memory Cards, but you cant fucking play PS2 Games on the fucking thing.

Edit: Unless you are referring to the 40gb model, in which case that completely blowz0rz. Didn't know you could create the memory cards on the non-BC models. |
