John Clayton has speculated that Strahan might consider coming out of retirement for $8 million a year, double what he was slated to make had he not retired.

I dunno what the Giants' cap situation is, but I'd offer that in a heartbeat. And its perfectly understandable for Mike to demand more. He's said to be happy in retirement and he just took a TV job...wouldn't want to risk burning any bridges.

That speculation was going on when he was still 'considering' retirement. I don't think he is coming out of retirement. Who knows what his personal workout regiment is like? Theres two weeks until week one and he has been decidedly retired for a while now so I doubt he is keeping in 'football shape'. I think the Giants chances of getting Strahan back are slim to none. Believe me I would love for him to come on for another year but I just don't think its in the cards.

According to Schefter, Strahan was asked about it and he said he wouldn't rule out a comeback...so we'll see.

If he came back, I'd assume he'd have to get back into football shape first...so move Kiwi to the line while using Strahan as a situational pass rush guy until he's ready to start.

Then when Stra starts, you let Kiwi play primarily at LB, move him to the line for passing downs like they did with Tuck last year...all kinds of things you can do.

I heard on the Van Pelt / Tirico show that Coughlin hinted or indicated at moving Kiwi back to DE. I'm not sure when this was supposed to happen, but I assume sometime today or last evening. I hadn't heard anything like this since yesterday, so this must be a new development. Bum bum bum.
