AJ Styles should be the star of the X-Division and he should be a cocky face. The X Division should be about competition. That's why Styles/Daniels/Joe worked so well - it was about the spirit of competition, and it was about violence and action in the ring. It shouldn't be about comedy characters and WWF rip offs. That shit has no place on the card. The X Title needs to be brought back to its previous place of prominence within the company and not be treated like an after thought.

I agee with you pretty much entirely on that. Except for maybe your point on Styles. I think he's done so much for the division already, and that he is fine where he is, for the moment. Sure, in a few years the X-Division may call his name again, but right now, I feel that Styles is the sort of "franchise player" TNA needs to create for itself in its World Title scene.
Styles returning to the division later down the line as a heel trying to prove he is still the best at that style could be really cool.
As for Christopher Daniels: I would not mind it if Curry Man were around, but I just don't like the joke he's become. Daniels was so much more credible as himself (and without the ridiculous face tattoo). Daniels should be in the main event, because he really has all the tools they need in a top tier star. If they had Daniels do double-duty lower on the card as Curry Man (most likely in the X-Division), I think the character still has room to exist.
