The comeback last night wasn't boring by any stretch, I'm just saying that if the Red Sox pull a Cena and overcome the odds again in the ALCS to get to the WS, a Phillies/Red Sox World Series would be immensely boring for me personally.

As I've said, I'm not sure what it is...but I've just never been a fan of repeat championships and dynasties (unless it were my own team, obviously). However, just like the Super Bowl a few years back, when push came to shove I'd probably pull for the Red Sox over the Phillies much like I rooted for the Patriots over the Eagles just because seeing a top rival team winning it would be worse.

I guess I'm just big on unpredictability, hence why I loved rooting for the Rockies last year and the Rays this year...cause come on, who the fuck predicted them to be WS contenders at season's end?

Unfortunately though, when I made my playoff predictions at the beginning of this thread, I picked the Cubs/Angels to be in the WS with the Rays finally realizing it was the playoffs and folding in the ALCS. I clearly blew it on the WS, but I just hope the Rays part isn't wrong too

that's called jealousy... thats why most people hate winning teams. Because if 1 or 2 teams keep winning then there are many teams that aren't.

Pretty much.

Regardless of who the teams are, I kinda hope the WS goes 7 games or something. I mean 01, 02, 03 were all really exciting and since then the WS has been pretty one sided every year. I think 06 was the only one since that wasnt a sweep.

I don't know if it is or not. Personally I think it's because most of us watch too much ESPN and get sick of hearing about certain teams because it is the same thing every day. Now don't get me wrong I enjoy watching the Red Sox and I hope they win it all again (even after watching them whip my Rockies last year) but I can see where it would be annoying if you don't enjoy them same as with the Celtics/Lakers and definately the Pats and the Cowboys.

Although personally I enjoyed the Celtics season very much.
