Oh, I'm not saying it was great by any stretch of the imagination. I kinda see sequels being traditionally poorer than the original, so when a sequel arrives that is somewhere between being on a par with the original and not being God awful I'm impressed.

How anyone can say that 3 was their favourite I'll never know! They seemed to replace any sense of plot or sense with a nice pile of "EXTRA SUPER GORE". That shit doesn't interest me.

I really think that from Saw II up is really one big movie. And in the middle of movies there are action scenes, theres talk, etc.

Take Bourne Ultimatum for example, that started as an action scene, then talk, then an action scene with talk, then more talk, then another action scene then a fight scene, then more talk...

Saw III is really the middle of the whole franchise. If you watch Saw II up and think of it as one big movie, Saw III is the gore/action of the whole series.
