I don't know about all of the rest, but Portal and ME are First Person SHOOTERS? Portal seems to be only in the loosest sense of the word...

Anyway, I could never get myself into the genre, but it always amazes me how people gush over so many games within the same genre which are virtually identical in terms of things. I also thought it was funny that people thought it was original to put powers in an FPS (Bioshock; People love to also praise it for its atmosphere, and I'm not panning that part).
