but the match with HBK and Shelton was something that... kinda propelled Shelton, it showed Shelton in a way that we haven't seen... made him look like gold.

This match was between two already established and former world champions. It just didn't have that same first time ever meeting with it. It was good but that other one had more of a special feeling to it.

That match was suppose to make Shelton a mega star, didn't quite happen.

It didn't make him a mega star but it was a match that cemented him in the mid to upper mid. It was like after that Shelton was the man to watch. Not main event but you didn't wanna miss a match of his for a long while.

That is like saying that ohhh Jake Roberts vs. Steve Austin from King of the Ring 1996 was a better match than Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin from Wrestlemania, just because the KOTR match made Austin a star.

But that's not the point I'm making. I'm not sayin that Shelton/HBK was better cause it made him a star... it's cause it was that much better.

Weeks after the match happened you had people still looking for that match, downloading it, youtubing it. That match was THAT good. It was like a high profile PPV style match.

The match we just saw will be forgotten about in a couple of weeks.

In memory the HBK/Shelton match will always be wow. but the Jericho/Punk match is more of a middle of a PPV quality match

aight... that much is true... but from my own personal opinion... I don't see it as being close to the magnitude of the HBK/Shelton match... but I'll wait a while to see how others see it.
