Hope he ends up playing WR in the same division as the Colts and BOB SANDERS murders him.

Vick gets released. Watch McDevil nudge Bowlen to make a move to get him, further setting back the Broncos to the stone age.

Why? They almost made it to the Superbowl last season and have been close a bunch of other times/made it once? If you make it to the Superbowl you never know what could happen - the Cardinals where one drive away from winning

Actually Vick would be the only smart move that the Broncos would have made in the offseason. Just lock up your white women if he comes. But if he did rape a white chick, at least we'd get a mike vick puppet. |

God, even the Chargers are running Wildcat plays in their camps. Getting stupid. I mean, yeah LT's thrown a few passes on trick plays before, but god just let the gimmick go away. I hope Pat White plays this season and every snap is a turnover so everybody realizes they're retarded.

the wildcat will get overused this year and then will be limited after that
defenses will start to get smart and learn how to stop the wildcat |

Yeah, I just can't see offenses like the Wildcat existing in the NFL for any length of time. NFL defenses will formulate a way to beat it, and the caliber of player in general on defense is drastically better than the college game.

I don't know, if everything is stoppable why have teams been running the double tight I formation since the start of modern day football? The caliber of the player in the NFL is definitely better (that's why teams aren't willing to design a lot running plays for QBs - would be taking much bigger shots) but wildcat forces guy to make plays out in space. Consistently making plays out in space can be tough.
Not saying it will ever get to the point of being the teams primary offense or anything but if a guy can throw why wouldn't it work? It's just taking the shotgun and adding the element of run to it I think the name is so stupid though |

I think you could be right, just to me it seems like the latest fad in the NFL that comes around every so often. West coast offense came and was successful then EVERY team seemingly had a variation of it. Pretty much been phased out now. Then the "Tampa-2" came in and a bunch of teams copied that too, now it's all but gone as well. Just seems that it's the next thing in line for a copycat league. It may stay and be successful for some teams, I just don't think it will have a long lasting effect.

Good signing for the Raiders. But it doesn't outweigh the gaffe at wide receiver that they made in Heyward-Bay

If anything, it could force teams to draft speedier defenders better at making plays in space. The NFL is definitely cyclical and this may just be the next part of the cycle. |

Broncos sign WR Brandon Lloyd.
Let's see. Marshall, Stokley, Gaffney, Royal, and a few unknowns. Either Orton pulled strings to get this guy, or this is a sign that Marshall ain't hanging around in the future. |

I heard the Ravens are interested, aside from his off the field problems which aren't too bad and the fact he's a FA after this season. He's 3 years younger than Boldin who the Ravens were interested in but probably wont be traded by Arizona now. Adding Marshall would be huge for the Ravens who are already one of the top favorite AFC teams despite having a crap WR corps. Marshall, Mason, Washington and Clayton would be a solid set of targets for Flacco. I doubt however that Ozzie Newsome will pull the trigger unless he can get awahy without having to shell out a 1st/3rd round pick for him OR fully confident he can get Marshall to sign an extension.

Leonard Little and Donte Stallworth get a few weeks in prison and get to come out telling everyone how hard it was. The fuck up who killed Nick Adenhart gets charged with murder and will have the key to his cell thrown away.
Yeah, that's fair. If you kill someone while driving drunk, you should go to prison for life. No exceptions. On another topic, LOL at Joe Buck's show getting completely derailed last night. |

There's more than just 30 days in the slammer. He's also got:
2 years house arrest after he gets out of jail. Lifetime drivers license suspension. But after 5 years he can win approval for limited driving. 1,000 hours community service. Drug & Alcohol testing. And, Roger Goodell must also make a ruling. That's supposed to come just before the Browns start training camp on July 31st. |

Not to mention an undisclosed amount to the Reyes' family. I'd imagine he is going to pay them a certain amount for the remainder of his career, which should be a huge total.

yeah, Stallworth had to donate 2,500 to M.A.D.D.... and... the undisclosed amount to the guys family... I'll assume he paid them off big time and they backed the 30day sentence... While I'd like to see him in jail longer, if the family feels they got a good deal with the money I can't blame them.

Well Stallworth probably had the best lawyers working for him. Also you don't need to pass the bar to understand the FL DUI laws - there isn't a 4 year minimum if the drunk driver wasn't the only one at fault in the accident. Stallworth technically wasn't the only 1 at fault since the man he hit was jaywalking on a 6 lane road.
I don't know what exactly goes into being under house arrest but I would think that would limit his ability to play in the NFL, not totally sure though |

So, I'm not a Colts fan (I do respect most of them and their ability) but I think it's pretty shitty they lost their OC and OL-coach because the nfl owner changes the pensions rules for assistant coaches and those 2 I think are in their 60's and were worried if they didn't retire now they wouldn't get any pension since a bunch of teams are eliminating pensions and 401K's for assistant coaches... there's talk again about an assistant coaches union... word was owners told them a few years ago when the talked happened anyone who joined would get fired... and where the NFL has the antitrust exemption I think the NFL could legally get away with it.

Should just coach until they die like the defensive coordinator from Pittsburgh seems to be planning to do. The guy is pushing 75

Maybe so, but there was enough depth at WR for Oakland to address some needs on the Defensive line. Al Davis would have served you, the Raider fan, better by trading down. Trust me, Bey would have been there.
