dunno why they don't change it up a bit and turn it into a spin off without trying to incur the wrath of everyone. it worked well for frasier and the scrubs cast is like cheers in that the characters all seemingly have enough depth to be interesting on their own, unlike say friends.

Frasier is one of the very few spin off's that actually worked. Mainly because Frasier wasn't a huge popular character in Cheers and it was essentially a brand new show with one guy with the same name occassionally mentioning he lived in Boston.

i'd say frasier was as important as anyone in the show apart from sam.
