I agree the Rashad loss was not a bad one and he definitely was winning the fight , but the way he got KO'd was brutal; taking numerous hard shots to the point where you cannot even tap on the mat that you are finished.
I think that had a big impact on him because he did not even let Silva get anywhere close to having him in the same position that Rashad had him in (possibly out of fear). It's not like Silva was even jumping all over him when Forrest was down. You hardly ever see a UFC fighter, especially Forrest willingly walk away from the fight after being knocked down. Usually the ref steps in to call it, or the other fighter starts pounding on you and Silva was not even doing that. I'll admit, you could be right. It could be that Silva just made him look like an amateur and that tore him apart more than being viciously pounded out in his previous fight did. I'm just sayign I believe being knocked off his high horse in his last fight could have still kept him un-settled when he was getting in trouble from Silva. |
