I assume you are directly referring to Cena? Right?

Who has sold more merch in the last 5 years than Cena? Nobody. The company backs who the crowds pay to see....That has been Cena. Love him or hate him, he draws well & sells merch.

In a perfect world, the company would back who is "the best at what they do..." but from a business standpoint, the company will instantly back who is making them the most money.

Remember when they put the title on Orton back in 04 and turned him face? The crowd didn't buy that act.

While making new stars is of major importance, also is letting the number 1 seller put the company on his back & run with it. Hence the big matches, the stirring speeches & the cheeky backstage skits. Once the over-saturation happens & this crop of kids get a little older, we will see that ball handed to the next big thing.

I could be totally off base by assuming you meant Cena...But since you didn't really specify it was hard not to simply assume him. Cheers.

Oh also, I am not a big Cena fan but I appreciate alot of his contributions & admire his love for the company.
