It was at Starrcade 1997 and was a total let down. Hogan was meant to get a fast count on Sting which would bring out Bret Hart to restart the match. Only the count wasn't fast and it ruined everything.

Finger poke of doom happen in the first week of January 1999 on Nitro. Kevin Nash "dropped" the World title to Hogan when they have a "fake" match. Hogan pushed Nash with one finger and he sold it better than any move he had sold in his life. Of course, there was pure outrage. They thought this would be smart business even though they knew WWF Raw was taped that week so they knew what they would be up against. On Raw, Mick Foley won the world title from The Rock in one of the greatest moments in Raw history and one of the most emotional wrestling moments of all time.
