How did you pick your favorite team? (any sport)

And for the record, I am leaving now to go to a bar with a friend so that I can go watch the Pro-Bowl game in which my favorite NFL team's players will not be playing in because they are going to the Super Bowl where Jeritron's team is not.

To those of you who provided discussion without turning to childish methods to get a 'reaction', I applaud you. Especially Supreme, who showed that he could be the better man in a dispute such as this by not being a prick.
