Ironic part is that has occurred in MLB history before and ended up being a perfect game for the winning pitcher and a no hitter for the losing pitcher.

when did this happen? I thought the closest to something like that was Vaughn and Toney around the 1910's. Both threw no no's after 9 and Vaughn lost it and the game in the 10th

Wikipedia used to have the whole list of no-hitters and perfect games in a nice organized list but I believe the game did in fact go into extra innings and either an error or a few walks was the difference between the winning and losing pitcher. Its defiantly in the earlier years of baseball though (pre-1950s).
