That's why I hate the people running WWE right now. Vince, Steph, and especially Johnny Ace.

When Johnny Ace took the hiring talent job from Jim Ross, he started to immediately hire roided-up bodybuilders and lingerie models, who don't know a wristlock from a wristwatch, rather than male and female wrestlers, who not only look great, but can also know how to wrestle.

I've followed pro wrestling since 1988, and I've seen a lot of ups and downs in this business. To me, WWE is sinking deeper into the abyss. Shawn's gone, and when the day Undertaker retires, mark my words, it will be the nail in the coffin.

That's not entirely Johnny Ace's fault. He's doing what he does at Vince's behest and rest assured, if Vince didn't like the job he was doing, he'd be gone.

As far as Shawn and Taker go... I believe if there's a top 3 list, those two are in it. But Shawn took four years off and the business made it through. Taker has spent the past few years working a part time schedule on Smackdown no less, yet WWE house show revenues continued to do fine and advertisers/ the USA network didn't threaten to drop Raw unless Taker was moved to Monday nights so save the dramatics.

Sure the quality isn't what we grew up to, but remember, the first time the majority of WWE's target audience probably saw Bret Hart on Raw was when he returned and got kicked in the nuts. They've probably never seen an Owen Hart match, think Jerry Lawler was a part time wrestler who has been an announcer his whole career, and think the Mongo, Benoit, Malenko, and Flair were the only 4 Horsemen.

There's talent there and Wrestling will be fine. Worst case scenario they'll start picking talent from ROH/ Dragon Gate/ TNA to get relevant again like they did ECW. Vince is first and foremost a business man and if he ever sees the rating and revenues go to shit because of a lack of quality wrestling, he will react accordingly.
