Yankees close to acquiring Berkman. Hasn't been amazing this year but still better than what we've had going through the DH spot. Hopefully he can get hot these last couple months.

Apparently its no big prospects and basically salary relief and some minor guys so seems like a good deal.

Pretty stacked lineup, especially if Granderson can keep up his solid hitting as of late.

Pretty stacked lineup, especially if Granderson can keep up his solid hitting as of late.
Sort of surprised Yankees were able to get him for almost nothing for this season since Astros are paying $4 million out of the $7 million deal and don't get anyone of "quality" to replace his bat (even if he's having a down year). ESPN is reporting Astros might even be paying for part of his option salary next year as well but not confirmed.
