I don't think any of us really thought Nexus would win tonight. The problem is how it all went down.

Also, for me, what made it even more disappointing was the fact that I expect something HUGE to happen at each of the four major pay-per-views (something that really will change things) and nothing HUGE happened tonight. Disappointing.

And the one "nice" thing that happened, Bryan's return, was spoiled.

Somebody's getting yelled at right now as I write this.

Don't get me wrong, it's great to see both of them back in the WWE. But still, I felt like something was missing and to me this year's SummerSlam didn't have that big-time feeling that the four major pay-per-views should have.

I don't get how Triple H being at Summerslam, and AXXESS, didn't make an appearance.

Didn't even have to wrestle...should've made an appearance. WWE dropped the ball on that one. If the guy has been out for months, and you know fans want to see him, and u have him go on AXXESS...how can u NOT have appear at the show? It's dumb.

Yeah, Triple H showing up could have definitely made it better.
I don't know, not saying the show sucked, but it feels like it didn't live up to the hype and for me just wasn't as enjoyable as past Summerslams.

The show didn't SUCK, except for the damn Cena no-selling concrete...but Summerslam is one of the "Big 4" of the WWE, and WWE should try to take advantage of the "Big 4" and use them to "shock and awe" the fans...and use the other PPV's to further storylines and the like.

We KNEW 'Taker was returning. Bryan WAS a surprise, but as I said, it was spoiled.

Summerslam was being built up as a "kick in the pants" for WWE, as the show that would give the WWE new air and shake things up...

...but i don't know.

I mean, I agree that the show on the whole was a bit underwhelming. The undercard was a big mess of blah, and the Orton/Sheamus finish was crappy. While we did know that Undertaker was coming back, they did it pretty decently...and I personally didn't have Bryan's return spoiled for me, so I marked like a schoolgirl.

The show itself didn't have game changing ramifications, so I agree with that sentiment, but it also did progress storylines.

But ANY and ALL pay-per-views will progress storylines.... SummerSlam, WM, Survivor Series and Royal Rumble (the original four) should, IMO, be HUGE.
