Just watched Lion King for the first time in X years...

Wow...
I forgot that it's actually a decent movie...
But one part kinda' bothers me...

The part where Scar is singing about taking over the kingdom and shit...
the hyenas are marching around like nazis...
I had never noticed this as a child...
it's kinda creepy.

I've kinda' grown out of the "animated disney movie" stage.
I loved it as a child, though.

some, yes. there's a nude woman in a window for a couple frames in the rescuers, and when simba collapses on the cliff at night and all the dust goes everywhere allegedly the word 'sex' appears in the dust, though it just as easily could be 'sfx'. and one of the towers on the little mermaid's cover is a giant penis. other ones, like the priest in the little mermaid allegedly having a boner, are false. snopes has pretty much a complete list of the bunked/debunked allegations.

Yea for the most part they're all urban legends. I think the dust is meant to say SFX

I always liked the fox & the hound....
and robin hood.

I dont see why they bothered making more 'Robin Hood' movies.
The animated one had it all.
Action
Suspense
Comedy
Romance
Awesome musical score.

Close the book on it.

The Lion King is an incredible movie. Scar is one of the best movie villains ever, I don't care if it's an animated character. Jeremy Irons creates such an aura with the voice and the look freaks you out no matter how old you are. The Be Prepared song is one of my favorite songs in any of the Disney movies. I usually like the villains in those animated movies: For example, I like Jafar, Hades etc. They just put so much into the villains. I also like Maleficent and Cruella De Ville. I just think the villains make those movies and of course Judge Claude Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame is an excellent villain as well. I personally like the animated movies better than the computer ones we are getting. I like very few of them. The ones I like are The Incredibles, Toy Story 1,2, and especially 3, How To Train Your Dragon, Monsters, Inc. and Coraline.

How to Train Your Dragon and Coraline are not Disney/Pixar efforts. I actually love the Pixar stuff. Up, Wall-E, all the Toy Story films, all among my favorite Disney films.

The Lion King is by far my favorite Disney of all time though. I love that movie. The musical numbers are amazing, Scar is one of the greatest villians ever, and is just an overall amazing film to me. The Blu Ray will be in my collection when they get around to releasing it.
