Please excuse the roughness of the drawing but here is what I have gathered from your explanation and visualized.

Point out where I am wrong as I am almost certain I have the WR in the wrong spot.

The typical pro defensive set is a 4-3, or 3-4, with two safeties being on both the strong and weak sides of the offense. Rarely will you see five down defensive linemen unless in a short yardage or goal-line situation.

Or the '85 Bears.
