i just picked up this game last week and downloaded the DLC#1 pack with Nexus and Bulldog and Luger. yet when i go to select any of those guys at the character selection screen nobody shows up. HBK's earlier WM attire isnt selectable either. any ideas on what i have to do?

You need to restart. Or look under the Downloadable characters section.
