I guess being an inevitable interference/run-in for the WHC match is a bigger thing for Christian as opposed to a random undercard slot with no story (maybe not paycheck wise, but who knows).

I would obviously rather a triple threat match, but the involvement of Christian for Edge and Clay for Del Rio has really helped the build for this one-on-one match.

I would not have mind a triple threat match, but with Del Rio winning the Rumble, and not losing his title shot (ala rey and Cena), it would feel pretty forced.

I think the fact that he's as involved in this story as he has been is a good sign, and is probably the highest profile feud his character has been, sans the triple threat with Cena and Jericho in 2005.
