If, with the arrival of Bischoff and Hulk fucking Hogan (you know, the biggest star professional wrestling has ever known), there was some sort of continual growth -- I would lend more weight to Bischoff's words. But as it stands, TNA is not really doing anything with all the tools in the world. We are like 18 months into the Hogan-Bischoff regime, and there's been such little growth. They did get their highest rating since that big January 4 show (I think) lately, but it dropped back down the next week.

Also, I was reading an article on PPV buys, that essentially compared the percentages of the television audience that buys WWE and TNA's respective PPVs. TNA is under-performing greatly. Comparatively to the WWE, anyway. A ridiculously small amount of TNA's audience actually forks out cash for the product. While the WWE's buys are dropping, given that there is an over-saturation of PPVs, and considering the amount the WWE charges for them -- the WWE is still getting something like 13 times the PPV buys that TNA are getting.

So, while Eric can go on about television ratings -- if TNA is sitting at a 1.1 every week (it's something like that, isn't it?), if the WWE had the same percentage of people buying their PPV product, their rating would be something like 14.3. Now, I guess TNA and the WWE might have different emphasis on PPV importance and such, and it's unfair to directly compare the two -- but the point is -- Eric, about 1.1 people watch your show -- and about 15,000 are reported to buy TNA PPVs (and that's being generous). You're certainly pleasing your audience, aren't you?
