doesn't the WWE recognize the WHC lineage back to WCW, which would mean the Ron Simmons won it too?

It depends on what you believe, really.

That doesn't list it, and that's pretty official.

As far as I'm concerned, the WCW title was absorbed into the WWE Championship and the WHC just uses the same belt.
