If you really wanna get technical, there's never been zombies in RE. Only a virus that at first corroded their brains and bodies, but through development has advanced them to more intelligent beings. And by intelligent I mean organized. Because clearly Wesker was never able to figure out how to advance the virus to defend against ROCKET LAUNCHERS. FOR EVERY FUCKING GAME!!!! Still, you're not going to nor did you ever get zombies. So just enjoy the most dangerous form of AIDS attacking you in every RE game.
