You're just bitter because I can outdo you on vocal scores 99% of the time.

Anyway, the community still seems to be active, and of the few recent songs I've purchased, everyone online seems to have them. I have trouble seeing this go away any time soon. It may continue towards the niche, but I doubt it'll vanish.

That's probably because when I sing, I have to be drunk.

What 'market research' concluded that to be a good move?

And then the old non-transferable setlist thing, that they tried to do but failed at. And certain DLC not playable between games (which was absurd). And toward the end they had some decent ideas (Party Play was elegant and awesome), but they burned themselves out. Shame, their note charts started getting better too.
VH was like the second most requested/desired band. Of course, the question is, second with how many people?

And since MEtallica was THE most requested band and it didn't set the world on fire, why continue?

I didn't get the non-transferrable DLC thing. Once makes sense. You weren't planning forward. It's not the best scenario, but it is what it is. How you continue to make that mistake through several iterations of games is beyond me.Rock Band got it in one. While they're not perfect, they certainly did that right.

Activision is really good at pleasing investors, though. I suspect that investors don't care as much about DLC, and want hit DISCS being released.

The true bummer of this is that Rock Band 3 probably is the best music game out there. People wanted something new, and they got it--but the market was flooded and too few people actually bought it. Which seemed to be Activision's way of saying "If I can't have her, nobody can!"

But pro keys are pretty awesome. Pro Guitar is nice, though I hate the low end guitar model (I thought it'd be fun, but you're still pushing buttons and that's just not a similar experience). The higher end Squier is probably different, but the Mustang doesn't really play like an actual guitar. Kinda moot, since my Mustang was destroyed a couple months ago, but still. I wouldn't mind owning a Squier at this point, but I don't have that kinda cash to throw around.

Keyboards actually make practicing fun. That alone makes it better than any other method I've tried. I won't pretend I'm an expert on piano, but it's helped me greatly. I even find myself playing some of those songs on my actual keyboard.

Of course, the catch is you have to buy more "plastic instruments." Yeah yeah, both are MIDI controllers, but I doubt most people care. Even the Squier probably sounds like shit when plugged in. Though it may be a good learner's guitar, my only real interest in it is as a controller, and nobody even remotely serious should look at that thing and thing "I'm gonna sound good on that!"

You must be drunk a lot. You're all over the leaderboards. Including a couple dozen songs I haven't beat you at because I haven't sung yet.
