Well done to them. They played to their strengths since they knew they couldn't play the fancy skillful crap everyone else tries to play and it worked for them. Biggest upset I have ever seen in sports but very well deserved.
Real sorry for Ronaldo though. He was the only Portugal player who tired to win and my heart honestly sunk watching him cry. Dunno why either since I just said a few weeks ago I love seeing footballers cry. |

Well Ronaldo is young, he has more chances at winning a major (World Cup, Euro).

Tomorrow, they will petition against Uefa to be Euro champions. Simple logic: Russia beat the Euro champions, so they should be champions thenself. ![]() |

![]() I was in the city at about 2 this morning, and FUCK I didn't realise that there were so many Greeks in existence. They. Were. Fucking. Everywhere. Well I suppose this also gives me hope that Australia can win the next World Cup. Of course, we'd have to actually make one first ![]() |

This season's been pretty good really, just a 3 week gap from the end of the season until Euro 2004 and then the Copa America, aswell as pre season games, before the new season starts

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but did anyone else find the game boring? I mean until there was 15 minutes left (there abouts) both sides looked tense or something. Once Greece went into a shell and Portugal tried to press, then it was more entertaining but even then, they hardly got anything on net.
I dunno, I was hoping for something better. |

I will file a missing persons report for Yianni shortly.
I expect him to wake up in a gutter surrounded by half eaten gyros and bottles of Oozo, somewhere around Wednesady or Thursday. Will keep you all updated. ![]() |

Uefa's Euro 2004 All-Star Squad:
Goalkeepers: Petr Cech (Czech Republic), Antonios Nikopolidis (Greece). Defenders: Sol Campbell, Ashley Cole (both England), Traianos Dellas, Georgios Seitaridis (both Greece), Olof Mellberg (Sweden), Ricardo Carvalho (Portugal), Gianluca Zambrotta (Italy). Midfielders: Michael Ballack (Germany), Luis Figo, Maniche (both Portugal), Frank Lampard (England), Pavel Nedved (Czech Republic), Theo Zagorakis (Greece), Zinedine Zidane (France). Forwards: Milan Baros (Czech Republic), Wayne Rooney (England), Angelos Charisteas (Greece), Henrik Larsson (Sweden), Ruud van Nistelrooy (Holland), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Jon Dalh Tomasson (Denmark). __________ That's fair enough really, Phillipe Lahm had a good tournament at left back for Germany though, so he's unlucky not to be there. |
