PWInsider.com has confirmed Orton's injury was back related. We have not confirmed the severity but know it was something to do with at least one of the discs in his back.

Was it revealed if the injury happened before or after the spot involving the stairs?

Either way he would be in for some serious pain regardless especially if it was before and then had the stairs spot make it worse.
