Though a more serious post here, I feel that the quality of "popular music" has dramatically declined in recent years.
Your average "popular song" these days consists of some kind of electronic beat, auto-tune, and lyrics talking about how great sex is, how great alcohol is and how great the two are combined. I tend not to listen to "popular music" because I find most of them to be terrible. The only time I really hear the stuff is when I'm out at a bar/club on a night out. Though I will say there are a few songs that I hear and I enjoy, but very rarely does that happen. |
