I'd go the other way but make it that Punk barely retains and genuinely fears Ryback to the point he tries everything to not have a rematch occur unlike his more mocking of Cena right now.

It boosts Ryback's image and gives him at least someone who won't be just a squash since he needs some legit competition for feuds.

Losing to Punk even barely could destroy Ryback's "aura". They've got the potential for a future megastar and it's based around the scary as fuck aura of Ryback. If he loses to Punk, even in an intense, close fight, he loses that.
