Five teams have expressed interest in Melky Cabrera so far, the Mets and Yankees are not among them.

A month ago I scoffed at the idea of the Mets getting Melky, figuring the team already had a shitty enough public image without getting a PED user who went out of his way to create an elaborate cover up. But the more I think about it, even if you throw out his 2012 season, the 2011 Melky would still be the best outfielder on the Mets roster. Guess you could also argue he may have juiced in 2011 too but just didn't get caught.
