Hell, I'm sure people can take it back to the late 80's early 90's when Vader grabbed the reporter and hit him, asking him if it felt fake. Vader was/is a badass.

I too, employ this method at times. On occasion, is has warranted unwanted follow up questions, like "Wat r u doing this weekend". and I reply with something like "watching wrestling marathons....... nekkid"
