The promo was good, but had so much potential wasted. It kills it when you have them nose-to-nose and all that intensity and tension only to be killed by a long rant about Cookie Puss, M&M tattoos, Popeye jokes, etc. CM Punk's "pipebomb" was convoluted as fuck. His whole thing is that he is played the system to take over the system, but he isn't going to take down the system because he can't? It just seemed like he was trying too hard to come up with some "big idea". The best part was them nose-to-nose and CM Punk saying he was going to kick his ass and Rock telling him that he knows how great he is, how he GTS'd The Rock, etc. The "boxing with God" and some of The Rock's lines were great though. I just think they tried to throw too many damn lines in there.

In the end though, it was an awesome encounter and that makes me want to see them more. They play off of each other well.

Thankfully, Cookie Puss won't catch on like the stuff with Cena last year. Cena has a much more vocal anti-Cena legion that would call his mother a whore if she showed up on RAW. CM Punk's main boo'ers aren't going to do that every week. (at least I hope)

Rock definitely kept the corniness to a minimum. It seemed a lot more serious for him right away, unlike with Cena last year where it was jokes the whole time then serious right at the end.

At least "Fruity Pebbles" made sense.
