Journey - Don't Stop Believin' - Pretty much the bane of karaoke nights everywhere. Guaranteed to come up at least once throughout the night, and be sung terribly.
Oasis - Wonderwall - It's the "Don't Stop Believin'" of douchey acoustic guitar players at pubs. Bar promoting an acoustic set of some local musician? Almost guaranteed they will be playing Wonderwall at some point. Not a bad song by any means, but just so cliché. Lynyrd Skynyd - Sweet Home Alabama - For basically the same reasons as above. Pearl Jam - Evenflow - "Controversial" pick, but IDK. Every time I listen to any alternative radio station I hear it. Like, without fail. And, no exaggeration, every single time I've been in a car with anyone who has XM radio, if the Lithium station is on I've heard this track within 10 minutes of the station being on. I get that that's the "point" of the channel, but BLAH. I'm just tired of hearing this song on the radio. Also, basically any song that was "the rage" for about 2 weeks and has outlived its 15 minutes. Like if I were to hear a radio station today playing Call Me Maybe or Gangnam Style. The songs, during their peak, were annoying but I understood that that was the chart-topper of the moment. Whatevs. Now though, it's like... you're just embarrassing yourself, top 40 station. Let it go. crossrine |
