Soft A-H you can easily bounce back from. Hard E-R though...

That's silly. That word gets thrown around everywhere. Its on televison, its constantly in music, and its in regular use (especially by the black community). Its an easy word to summon if you're trying to piss somebody off. He got into a fight with a black security guard while he was drunk and wanted to piss the guy off so he said something he knew would sting. Not really a smart move but I don't think it implies he doesn't like black people. He trains with like 40 black people every day.

It was a dumb move but I don't think it says anything other than he turns into an asshole when he drinks

If there are interviews of everyone laughing this off, then it's clear he has a good comradery and no one has considered him a racist.

If they stay silent on the issue or change topics or try not to answer questions during interviews, it means it's not a guy worth standing up for.

And don't get me wrong. I'm big on people taking responsibility for their actions. I just think the punishment should fit the crime. The media loves ruining peoples' entire lives for moments of weakness or drunken boozebabble.

I also don't see anyone calling for his job or trying to "ruin" his life. He shouldn't be suspended or cut and I don't hear anyone calling for that. If your go to move in a confrontation is to throw out a racial slur instead of the typical "asshole" or "motherfucker" or "Kris P lover", people will question you, though.

First of all: It's July/August. NFL offseason is notorious for being completely utterly DEVOID OF ANYTHING INTERESTING. You think this is high-profile? You mean, compared to Aaron Hernandez?

NFL states they won't punish Riley Cooper mainly because the punishment by the Eagles is good enough and current CBA rules forbade dual punishments if its for the same incident.
