Sure Noid said something similar about Cena/Carlito likening it to Austin/Rock/HHH, guys who could have been each others big rivals in a Batman/Joker sort of way which made a lot of sense.

The Invasion angle was a huge waste. Talent wise, why they never pushed Rhino based on being the last ever ECW champion and the overness he had with the Gore is baffling, Triple H treats him as a threat and he's on his way, but he got injured and jobbed out.

I did say that. I liked that Carlito came in to the WWE and beat Cena day one, and then had Jesus stab Cena in the club or whatever the story was there. It was ridiculous, but it was a nice little feud to introduce Carlito to the WWE audience.

They interacted a few times in between then and 2009, but when Carlito came out randomly during a John Cena promo after Sheamus had won the Breakout Battle Royal to challenge him at the TLC PPV, I really enjoyed the idea. Carlito just didn't like Cena and wanted to see him lose. Carlito would never be the biggest threat to Cena, but the rivalry would be constantly there. Perhaps if Edge needed help against Cena sometime in the future, Carlito would have been right there to help him out.
