Dexter - Possible Spoilers

I just think the main plot for the final season should've just been Dexter on the run.

Have him get blamed for LaGuerta's murder, and he takes the fall to protect Deb and so he runs. Someone eventually puts all the pieces together about Dexter like LaGuerta did and we get a huge Miami vs Dexter chase, which would put Dexter back into his old trying not to get caught routine, rather than just nonchalantly meandering through the world killing whoever and whenever he wants. Deb could've been involved in the chase but keeps helping Dexter out and warning him of the police's plans. Then someone like Miller begins to get suspicious of Deb helping Dexter out, but Quinn defends her etc etc. Quinn could finally find Deb and Dexter talking together and realises he was wrong all along, and so Dexter kills Quinn out of necessity.

That's then the final straw for Deb who eventually sees the light and joins the chase for Dexter for real. Then at the end you could have a bunch of different options that would be pretty good. Dexter kills himself to protect Deb one last time/Deb kills Dexter and seemingly "becomes" him/Jamie Batista in a bikini for the last 10 minutes of the show.

Dunno, that's just off the top of my head now with little to no thought and nothing fleshed out but I'd be 5000% more interested in something like that than stuff with Vogel, Saxon, Vince's daughter, Elway, kid who was Dexters apprentice whose name I forgot, random detective that was in like 3 episodes who seemed smarter than every other member of the police on the show.
