I don't see what the problem is. They want us to despise Randy Orton and Triple H. They have consistently found ways to screw the fan favorite out of "his moment in the sun". Daniel Bryan is still over as fuck and probably going to get a huge Survivor Series match. He'll then be denied another title match by "The Authority" only to get the classic formula of over coming the odds at the Royal Rumble and going on to WrestleMania to finally get his crowning achievement.

I get what you're saying, but the way they've been booking it, in my opinion, in the long term almost makes me not care about it anymore.

Long-term booking is tricky, obviously, but I would have loved more scenarios where Bryan seemed to have some type of upperhand on the authority. It just doesn't feel that way.

It's just so boring at this point and there is no payoff. People are going to start tuning out. A Shawn Michaels heel turn got almost no reaction. That might tell you something. We have to suffer through more Orton and Triple H on at every waking moment. Enough is enough. We've been given so much crap the past couple of months, if there's no payoff then we're just sitting around in boredom and self pity for no reason. By the time the payoff comes, everyone isn't going to care.

HBK didn't necessarily turn heel. That is what is interesting. Was it all a big plan to screw Daniel Bryan or did HBK just react to DB kneeing HHH in the face? HBK didn't turn heel after helping HHH almost end The Streak in HIAC. HBK could superkick a baby with a ice skate on and still wouldn't be a true heel.

I don't think it was a heel turn either, and while it adds a small level of depth (being that HBK was literally JUST introduced into this storyline), it's not enough for me to personally keep optimism in terms of a shift of how Bryan has looked. I get the underdog thing, just doesn't seem all that interesting anymore. Truthfully, I didn't expect the payoff to come at HIAC, but still.

The Bryan vs. Orton build to Hell in the Cell was a lose/lose for the WWE. If Bryan won, Bryan "defied the odds" and it wouldn't be a shock. If Orton won, HHH gets more X-Pac heat no matter how he got the victory.
