I'm Hogan's biggest defender. Who is his WWF run did he keep down from being a bigger star? Hogan held the belt for so long because he was the biggest star in the history of wrestling. Even in WCW, people weren't bitching when Hogan was the champ and WCW was killing Raw in the ratings. You go with your biggest draw and Hogan was their biggest draw.

I don't think anyone can bitch about Hogan holding the belt for (what was it, 4 years), because he was legitimately their top draw and a phenomenon the world hadn't seen before. That said, by the time he got to WCW he was still a big deal, but there was definitely a big drop in his star-power, similar to what happened to John Cena but on a larger scale (Hogan at his lowest point in the 90s was probably more popular than Cena, that's just my opinion though).

Hogan became hot again with the NWO, but he still screwed over a lot of guys when he got to WCW and then acted like a jerk when he finally got back to the WWF. I just want to clarify the timeline a bit, because there is just no denying that Hogan is a Legend and his career in the 80s was pretty much unrivaled even by Flair and Dusty.
