Since we are talking about records and how people associate them with sound quality, I was wondering if you guys indulge in higher resolution audio files...I'm not talking about ripping your CDs to FLAC or ALAC, I am talking about 24-bit remasters. I am aware that files at higher sampling rates is an overkill but whatever...I am drunk. Indulge me.

I prefer losless FLAC because it's what I have done for years with tape trading / live show conversions anyway...So it's easy, familiar and seamless play-ability. That's not to say that I don't listen to Spotify with the same zeal ...Just because I fancy myself an audiophile type doesn't mean that I can't enjoy all formats.

Cool. I convert mine to ALAC as I live in the Apple ecosystem. I have acquired a variety of high resolution albums via various sources (HDTracks, The Beatles USB set etc.).

As of typing this, I am streaming Interstellar's soundtrack on Tidal since they have a one-month free trial. Not sure if CD quality streaming is for me.
