WWE released an official statement on the issue and mostly to respond to a report from the NY Post implying the WWE was racist for suspending him.

Also backed down a bit on the 90 days punishment and instead got 60 days which still keeps him out of Mania.

O'Neil had nothing to do with race and everything to do with unprofessional conduct," WWE told the Post in a statement. They added that Titus "acknowledged the gravity of his mistake" in a text message, writing: "I feel like s--t now so if you have to let me go, I understand. Stupid mistake."
