I like Sutter and all I just feel like he needs something more but I'm not sure what. Working with Spud should be good for him and get him away from being the humble guy that finally made it.

I think as far as "for a character" I think he's on the right track. You obviously can't debut as "aww fuck you, kick ass X1000" right off the bat. They seem to be building him up from taping to taping, and that is a smart way to do it (that's kinda what they did for Drew and EC3)
