Probably to separate the Royal Rumble (match) from the Royal Rumble (entire show). I'd argue that "Royal Rumble match" sounds less clunky, but this is also the company that refers to hospitals as "A LOCAL MEDICAL FACILITY" and blood as "that viscous material!"
