Is it just me, or when you see that style of freeway, you are reminded of that episode of the Road Runner and Wild E. Coyote chasing each other on the freeway?

In the UK version of OPM they have a new article up about San Andreas. They talk about some new places in the country called "The Back O' Beyond", "Shady Creek" and "Flint County". To give you a reasonable idea of how large this game is, to cycle from Los Santos to The Back O' Beyond would take you about 40 minutes.

Check out the amazing detail they put into this...

This is way off topic but I figured anyone reading this would be the best people to want to know this information but they are making Scarface: The Game. It's from VU Games so don't think I meant Rockstar but they pretty much did with Vice City and III.

Not nessecarily with GTA3, but GTA: VC is basically made to be as much like the movie as possible...

VC had more of the plot but 3 had definite influences on it with the soundtrack and all.

Gamespot has an update about house robberies and just like before I'll go over the major points with pictures.

You're not going to be getting money after you finish missions, because you aren't hired by anyone you're just helping friends and family pretty much. The robberies are a new form of the "R3" missions so to initiate you pretty the right analog. To do so just find the right truck and get behind the wheel with another person in the car. Press R3 and you'll switch places and be ready to go.

You have to change clothes so nobody will be able to pick you out of a line up later on so you have to find some clothes like CJ has done in the above picture. Ski masks are avaible at clothing stores.

Robberies can only take place at night. Most people will be asleep so you can loot him without having to wake him but if he does just make sure he doesn't get to the phone. Also you can probably make him surrender by just pointing the gun at him...or firing.

Others will probably put up a fight so have fun.

"Rockstar recently informed us that as soon as you equip yourself with a ski mask or balaclava, you'll enter into a sneaking mode, causing you to move about more quietly than usual." There's a noise meter added as well so just walk slowly or you're going to get some friends on you.

This is just cool so I'll put it all here...
"Rockstar also informed us that San Andreas will feature some new audio technology, making for realistic contextual audio distortions. This will be apparent in such cases as when you're trying to eavesdrop on a conversation in a home you're robbing but are barely able to make out the words that are being said because of the building's solid walls. As another example, when you're in a high-speed chase in a tunnel, the action will sound even more deafening than usual."

Good to see you just don't put it into some magical sack that just makes the items disappear. THE SIMS ANYONE?

Then just go pawn the stuff off. Here's a good note: there is no load times on the land but there are some brief pauses between inside and outsides of houses.

Then they go on talking about swimming, which we've covered.

- You can choose from gang clothes and street/casual wear.
- You will need certain clothes to complete certain missions.
- Reece's Barber Shop is available from the start of the game.
- There are various barber shops to choose from throughout San Andreas.
- You will be determined a threat to gangs depending on your hairstyle/appearance.
- Binco is the name of a cheap clothing store in The Grove.
- SubUrban is a clothing outlet in Ganton (Watts inspired, Ballas Area), which sells expensive clothes.
- ProLaps, located in Downtown Los Santos, sells very expensive, sports-style clothes, which will allow him to blend in more with the rest of the public.
- More expensive clothes will gain more respect, while Gang clothes will attract attention, from your gang, rival gangs and the police.

This game is going to be so awesome. The Rodeo Drive-type street is spot on. I was just there this summer. Niice.

I may have missed this, but anyone know if you can have a silencer on your guns, mainly if you're robbing houses? It would come in handy.

Nothing on silencers but I wouldn't keep it against them on putting something like that in. Would be kind of cool if you didn't have silencers on your guns when robbing the neighbors could come out and look around and then run and call the cops.

Apparently El Burro and an old female character(Misty?) are in the game. I think I heard Salvatore, but I doubt it.

The only thing I dislike is swimming. I just don't agree with the idea. Also, more boat missions which aren't checkpoint, and no checkpoint ones.

I have one concern with this game.

Loading times are gonna be a bitch.
Well maybe just the initial one, I remember hating 3's and VC's when I had them on PS2 (have them on Xbox now, pretty quick on that).
