I was about to ask if there were any other form of entertainment where blatant contempt of your audience is acceptable business, but yeah, modern "live service" video games has WWE beat... but that's only because WWE is only one company.
It feels like the promo was actually intended to insult the audience and reflect backstage’s opinions on their own product. People seemed to like it, but hey, they all seem to watch.
