It has been on the decline since 2001. Then you go back and you see content from then and think “this isn’t that bad.” The same with 2002. I’m watching some in-ring stuff from 2003 and it is amazing compared to today. But it was still losing fans. It’s a perfectly cogent argument.

There’s probably more in-ring stuff now than then. It feels like a lot of matches go longer than they need to, especially with Raw being 3 hours.

It's not just on Raw, almost every match on every show is too long whether it's WWE or AEW.

Honestly NXT UK has the best tv product going today and that's because not every match is 20+ minutes. So the ones that do go long are fresh.
