If you modified the sheet wrap around your neck, then yes, it was a cape. If you were just draping a sheet over your shoulders, then you were just a kid with a sheet.

Otherwise there are some yard sticks at my old house that need to be registered as lethal rifles.

If your stick could shoot projectiles, sure. A cape just needs to be where it is. Once it’s there, it’s a cape.
