So bringing “Butch” to the main roster suggested they were moving towards Sheamus/Holland/“Butch” vs New Day which suggests Sheamus/Ricochet wasn’t the idea. Obvs that’s up in the air with Big E out. Assuming Woods is nearly ready to go do they continue with Woods & Kingston vs. Sheamus & Holland or “Butch”, or change direction altogether?

Probably stay with the New Day/Sheamus plan. Ricochet might be added to the match to make it a six-man? But nah, I see them sticking to the plan with Butch at ringside. He’s just shown up — he’s not exactly guaranteed a WrestleMania spot.

I don’t think this will be the case, but could be it’s Ridge that’s dropped after taking Big E out of the picture, but Kofi/Woods/Ricochet vs. Sheamus/Holland/Butch could work, I’d just prefer the IC title was given a little more thought for the biggest card of the year. That said, wouldn’t be the first time it’s not been defended at Mania.

Nothing about any of that side of things “feels right.” I guess Ricochet being in there with The New Day would be typical WWE. But maybe they’ll just do Ricochet vs. Sheamus and have Holland & Dunne work New Day?

Jeff Hardy and Cesaro leaving has probably stifled a few plays.

If they just do Sheamus & Dunne vs. New Day and have Ricochet defend against someone else, there are options. Madcap Moss isn’t doing anything. You could do some sort of gauntlet with Angel Garza, Humberto and maybe even someone like Drew Gulak. There’s no build to it, but it would be good wrestling.

I can see them just doing a random Battle Royal, having Moss win and that just being the match. It’s also possible that someone like Happy Corbin buys his way into the IC Title match on Night 2 if he’s wrestling Drew on Night 1. There are options.
