From what I hear he had a couple of feet of intestine removed. A friend of mine who plays in a band that was gonna open for Head Automatica on their cancelled tour has talked to Darryl a few times, and talks to Vinny from The Movielife/I Am The Avalanche every now and then and this is the story he hears.
