Kidman actually was starting to get over as a heel because of what he did to London in their match (hitting the SSP while he was on the stretcher). And with the booking he was getting even more reactions (anyone remember the BK Bomb to Miss Jackie?) But outta nowhere, probably because Paul Heyman was removed from creative, they just dropped the feud and started teaming him up with Akio on Velocity.

Thank you, Remy, you said exactly what I wanted to say. They were building up a great feud between the two but then it was dropped all of sudden. London was out for a month selling the injury and Kidman shortly after really did get injured and disappeared until this past SD!.
