But, maybe even more important, you've got the casual audience, who know Smallville is based on the Superman comics, but haven't read them, they just like the show. Welling is great, he seems born to play this role. It's like it was made for him(with the exception of Chris Reeve, R.I.P.). Look at this... And this... These were to two best looking manips I found on Google. Now doesn't Welling look a helluva lot more like Superman than Routh? As far as I'm concerned, Welling is the only guy out there right now that can pull the role off. Although, Superman Returns has more problems than just a shitty costume and Superman choice.
